Tidewater Community College seeks candidates for three (3) Custodian positions for the Virginia Beach Campus on third shift. These positions will provide a full range of custodial/housekeeping services for the campus. |
| FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
|
| |
The custodian duties will include, but not limited to, trash removal, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sweeping, floor stripping and waxing, window cleaning, black/white-board cleaning, etc. Provides room set-up/take-down assistance and light bulb replacement as assigned. Performs other cleaning tasks as assigned. |
| REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: |
| |
Working knowledge of the principles and practices of janitorial, custodial, and housekeeping services, and sanitizing techniques. Knowledge of custodial operations and industry standards. Ability to climb ladders without assistance. Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Experience in a janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping operations. |
| PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: |

Experience in a multi-building housekeeping operation. |

4:00PM - 12:30AM, Monday - Friday. |

Commensurate with qualifications. Positions are in pay band one. The college offers a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package. |
