The Program Specialist for the DOLTAA (Department of Labor Trade Adjustment Act) Grant will support the Project Director, evaluator, finance and procurement specialist, and the E-Health faculty. |
| FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
|
| |
This position will lead by coordinating the flow of information to and from the consortium members, coordinating group meetings, assisting in workshops and other training, and otherwise facilitating the implementation and completion of project strategies. |
| REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: |
| |
Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to use a variety of PC-based software including advanced features of Microsoft Office including word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, databases, and communication packages. Knowledge of college programs, registration procedures, events, and mission. Experience in a busy customer service environment. Demonstrated ability to manage various activities under pressure and within time constraints for numerous projects simultaneously. Ability to compile information from various offices/departments or sources into a single report. Experience in creating, editing, and updating spreadsheets. Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize workload, anticipate and meet deadlines, and respond to changing priorities. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with a diverse public including ability to draft correspondence. Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply policy and procedures to a variety of processes. Knowledge of effective customer service and project management techniques. Ability to assist in the development of a website. |
| PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: |
| |
Experience with Federal and State grant regulations. Experience in a community college setting. Experience with customer service in an educational setting. Experience in using, collecting and reporting data. Ability to conduct research, report findings, and draw sound conclusions. Ability to draft accurate and timely reports reflecting discussion and decisions made regarding complex matters. Experience handling contracts and confidential materials. Experience in designing or collecting surveys, tabulating the data and producing reports from that data. Experience and skilled in maintaining websites and other network media. Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities. |

Commensurate with qualifications. Position is in Pay Band four. The College offers a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package. FUNDING STATUS: This is a full-time grant funded position. |
