This position will produce high quality one to four-color printing jobs using a digital plate maker and two-color press to create complex reports, brochures, and multi-color documents. |
| FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Printing Press Operator will confer with outside vendors and Visual Communications Team regarding deadlines, costs, and job requirements. Tracks progress and status of all jobs using department database in producing monthly activity reports. Uses technical knowledge of printing services to ensure cost efficiencies. |
| REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: |
| |
Technical knowledge of existing offset, pre-press, bindery, and xerographic equipment to include operation and performance of routine maintenance. Experience in a production-related environment. Demonstrated ability to analyze and record a variety of factors and compute cost estimates. Knowledge of effective methods for teams to ensure quality control and meet deadlines. Knowledge of effective customer service techniques. Knowledge of effective methods of project management and resolving production problems. Ability to lift up to 80 pounds, routinely on a daily basis. Technical or on-the-job training in full printing production standards and equipment. Experience operating offset press, xerographic equipment, bindery, pre-press equipment, and hydraulic paper cutter. |
| PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: |

Knowledge of and proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite. |

8:00AM – 4:30PM. |

Commensurate with qualifications. Position is in Pay Band three. The College offers a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package. |
