The math lab instructor will strengthen the quality of the learning environment; this position has responsibility for providing tutorial instruction to students in mathematics. |
| FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will further enhance the learning environment; also provides support for a dedicated Math Computer Lab and assists students in the operation of mathematical software. In addition, the position helps to develop and document student use of services, other files, equipment and resources of the Math Lab. |
| REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: |
| |
Ability to tutor students in mathematics in subjects from arithmetic to ordinary differential equations, including vector calculus, statistics, and linear algebra. A working knowledge of computer hardware and software. Knowledge of current software on the market that could be used to assist students in studies in sciences and math. Ability to perform minor repairs and upgrades on computers. Ability to manage inventory of educational material, computers, software, and graphing calculators. |
| PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: |

Associate of Science degree with strong math curriculum or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities. |

Varies, to include evenings and weekends. |

Commensurate with qualifications. Position is in Pay Band three. The College offers a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package. |
