TITLE:
General Administrative Coordinator I (Grants Office Manager)
CAMPUS: District Administration
SUMMARY:
  This position is responsible for performing advanced administrative work, grant development, and grant management.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  The Grants Office Manager will coordinate the flow of technical information to TCC staff and to external high-level personnel. Supports the AVP of Grants and Sponsored Programs, three Grants Coordinators, and other part-time staff. Completes database searches and navigation of federal portals and databases. Coordinates group meetings and assists in training. Facilitates special projects to ensure timely completion of grant projects and full compliance with all regulatory requirements such as federal, state, and college policies and procedures.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  Intermediate level skills in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Demonstrated ability to manage many activities under pressure while meeting deadlines and prioritizing workload for many projects simultaneously. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to identify needs, problem solve, initiate and complete tasks, and develop new skills as necessary. Ability to compile data from various departments into a single report or into a federal agency format. Ability to interpret and apply various policies and procedures. Experience in providing assistance in budget operations and basic knowledge of mathematics and applied budgeting. Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to work with a variety of individuals, groups, and organizations. Ability to work collaboratively as a team member including the ability to multi-task, organize, and follow-thru on responsibilities. Demonstrated skills in electronic and manual record organization and maintenance. Knowledge of effective communication skills, to include grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Experience in grant, non-profit, government, contract or sponsored programs, individual grant business, or foundation environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  Bachelor’s degree in business, government administration, finance, or related field or equivalent combination of education and training that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and experience. Knowledge of federal, state, and college grant management regulations. Advanced skill with Microsoft Office Suite in the preparation of multiple types of correspondence, reports, and routine office procedures. Knowledge of grant or project management principals, requirements, and regulations and of search databases. Experience in handling contracts and confidential materials.
HOURS:
  8:30AM – 5:00PM.
SALARY:
  Commensurate with qualifications. Position is in Pay Band four. The College offers a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package.
